Ugh...I cannot move.  I have eaten nothing but carbs for the past 5 days.  Oh well, enough about me, let's talk about fabric!  I received the latest collection titled Blessings from by Linda Brannock and Jan Patek for Moda Fabrics.  These traditional florals are colored with deep, rich tones to give an heirloom feel to these fabrics.

My son, Scott is headed off to college in Portland, Oregon. He'll be attending Portland State University in January.  And get this...he wants a comforter for Christmas.  Like one from JC Penneys!  WTF???  Not a quilt? I'm going to get him one of those girly comforters with fuzzy pink polka dots. Love you, dude.

  • With one claw to the neck, he seems surprised, Tiger got him! The kids leaving for college look so young... Likely what he wants is warm & puffy, as comforters are often only tacked, but depends on the quality. My Gr/daughter gave me a double sided fleece throw which really keeps me warm & is so SOFT & fluffy! Maybe he wants it to look more like one piece of fabric & remaining puffy. You might asked. My son did the same & shopped for the new size, Now he's watching. One quilt lady made one for their family xmas gift exchange & they play a game to take the gift they want. She found all her grown sons wanted her quilt!
