Southern Hospitality is Alive and Well in Nashville

So there I was in the heart of Music City, USA…Nashville, Tennessee and boy was I looking forward to going to the Grand Ole Opry. On the lineup for the night was Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and Vince Gill. Mark and I had great seats up high, right at center stage.
Behind us sat a family of seven. With an infant. When I say infant, I mean maybe a 2 week old baby. Who brings a baby to the Grand Ole Opry? Unless you’re one of the acts and you’re breast feeding…
Well, this family talked the whole time, ruining the show for our entire row. The baby cried and cried, and occasionally they would take the baby out. I asked them to “shush” twice and they just looked at me like I had 2 heads. They were the rudest people I had even encountered.
Finally the show was winding down and Mark says, “I can’t take this anymore, let’s go.” Well you know me…I just can’t keep my mouth shut. When I got up I turned around and looked at the rude guy behind me and he FLASHED his camera at me, blinding me!! So as I was leaving, I said to him, “Thanks for being so rude and ruining the show for us, a**hole.” I then started walking down the aisle stairs.
Apparently, they were following me because when I got downstairs the gal says to me, “Excuse me! You have no right to call us names! We paid for seven seats!” I said, “I paid for TWO! You guys didn’t stop talking the entire time and you ruined the show for us!” As Mark is heading down the stairs he says to one of the elderly ticket taker guys, “These people need to be arrested!” And he proceeds to bolt down the stairs while I’m still exchanging words with these people. I soon realized I wasn’t going to get anywhere with them and I turn around and headed down the stairs to find my husband. Well then this chick yells over the balcony, “Hey you Yankee! Go back to Boston!” I think her baby daddy also called me a dog or something like that.
Where was Mark? In the gift shop…
